Membership
Residents: Library membership is
free to all residents of Champlain
Township and East Hawkesbury upon proof of
residence. Children under 16
years of age must have their application form
signed by a parent or guardian.
Non-residents:
Individual - $30.00
Family (2 or more) - $45.00
Card replacement: $2.00
Circulation
Print material, music CDs and talking books may
be borrowed for a period of 3 weeks, renewable up
to 4 times provided there are no reserves on the
book. DVDs may be borrowed for 7 days with no
renewals.
Inter-library loans may be borrowed for a period
of 3 weeks. These are not
renewable and the same fines apply as those for
the library's collection.
Renewals
Patrons may now renew or reserve books
from their home computer. Drop in to the library
and a library clerk will be pleased to show you
how.
Renewals may be made in person, by phone or by
e-mail. Please provide your
library card number (located on the back of the
card and beginning with a P)
as well as the book titles you wish to renew.
However, if an item is
already on reserve for another patron however, the
renewal will be denied.
Fines
Fines for overdue
materials are as follows:
Books & CDs for adults - 25¢ per
item per day to a maximum of $10.00
Magazines - 10¢ per item per day to a
maximum of $5.00
Books for children - 10¢ per item per
day to a maximum of $5.00
DVDs - $1.00 per item per day to a maximum of
$10.00
Donor Policy
Champlain Township Public Library
welcomes donations of books, DVDs,
CDs and works of art. In the case of an
individual or group wishing to donate money to
Champlain Library, these financial gifts will be
gratefully received as undirected gifts.
Tax receipts may be provided on any amounts over
$25.00.
